Pap Tastic
Hit the ground running is a familiar term used working on this program and it didn't fail to meet expectations at LAX airport. After getting off an 11 hour flight all I want to do is close my eyes and find myself in a warm bed but this is where the American dream for Kate and Pete begins and despite my sleepy head I have to roll to record. This was my first experience of Kate and Pete arriving at LAX. I have seen the footage from the last time they were here and madness is a good word to describe it. Our favorite celebrities are small fish in a big pond compared to the Hollywood A listers that reside in LALA land but the paparazzi attention they get here is an impressive sight to see. As I stand out side filming a wide shot of the family walking out the sea of flash bulbs begin and carnage unfolds before my eyes. We have certainly arrived.
Little Old Me

The shooting team consisted of myself, Michelle the AP, and Charlie the Director. My job as a Shooting Researcher involves filming with the talent, researching filming ideas, set up shoots and backing up the team. As a team we have been working together over the past year we all know our strengths and weakness. This is really affective because we can play to our strengths. To give you an example, Kate and Pete are training for the marathon as you will see when the shows air in April, to cover this is quite a challenge however one of my past times is rollerblading. I made the call to bring them out to LA with me to enable us to get better coverage of Kate and Pete running. Although I end up skating 8 miles a week with the couple it does pay off and hopefully you guys at home will fell like you're running the marathon with them.
